Why Choose Stretchology Treatments

Knot Me Stretchology is designed to help people of all ages and abilities recover from injuries, aches, and pain in order to improve their health, wellness, and physical function. Every session with us is 1 hour, 1 on 1 with a personalized Stretchologist who will already have full knowledge on how to care for your body prior to your first visit. All treatment sessions are conducted in a semi private setting with no distractions or interruptions, allowing for personalized patient-focused care throughout the entire session. Here we guide our patients through all stages of treatment from the initial consultation to living an active pain free lifestyle. All our patients receive a personalized treatment plan geared towards their desired goals, followed by home maintenance tips to help them achieve those goals in-between sessions. No two treatment plans are alike just as no person is alike. We believe in restorative total body recovery, meaning we restore your body's natural range of motion, giving back mobility that has been lost over the years. We are unlike any other stretch facility mainly because we are medically based with a strong focus on reflexology healing techniques. We do not take on the “one size fits all'' approach. If you are finally ready to live and not simply exist, contact us today and let us design a plan specifically for you. The majority of our patients have found significant improvement or have been completely healed from their sciatica pain within 4-8 treatments. If you or someone you know suffers from Sciatica, let us help!

What We Treat

  • Lower Back Pain

We're able to loosen tightness around the spine which generates less tension in the back overall and elevates pain

  • Headaches & Migraines

Manipulation procedures cause your temporal lobes to be released from tension and pressure, aiding in relief of pressure

  • Shoulder Issues

Also called Adhesive Capsulitis, we give back strength to the shoulder by gently increasing the range of motion in the rotator cuff

  • Partial Soft Tissue Tears

In the knees, ankles and wrist, we can provide healing to the connective tissues to prevent further tears and future injuries

  • Sciatic Pain

The Piriformis Muscle (this muscle is where the sciatic nerve lives) will begin to loosen which will give relief to the sciatic nerve.

  • Blood Flow Issues

Reflexology is a healing practice that disrupts the stagnation of blood flow and helps to enrich the body with proper nutrients

Questions We Get Asked

  • Sciatica is nerve pain derived from an injury or irritation to the sciatic nerve, which originates in your buttock/gluteal area. The sciatic nerve is the longest and thickest nerve in the body. It is actually made up of five nerve roots: two from the lower back region called the lumbar spine and three from the final section of the spine called the sacrum.

The term “sciatica” is commonly used to describe any pain that originates in the lower back and radiates down the leg resulting in irritation, inflammation, pinching or compression of a nerve in your lower back. Sciatica can also cause muscle weakness and numbness in your leg and foot. It can even create an unpleasant tingling pins-and-needles sensation in your leg, foot and toes.

  • Yes, in time the piriformis muscle (this muscle is where the sciatic nerve lives) will begin to loosen which will give relief to the sciatic nerve, some find instant relief and for others their pain has gone completely away after a few treatments

  • All assessments will take place on the first visit, questions will be asked pertaining to your health and fitness history after which a photo will be taken to have a visual track on progress (photos will only be taken if you are looking to gain flexibility)

  • Yes stretching will loosen tightness around the spine which generates less tension in the back overall

Stretchology

The marriage of two treatments

Stretchology

Knot Me has infused the art of stretching and reflexology. We are proud to say that we’re the 1st in Michigan to offer Stretchology services. All of our practices will operate under these guidelines. At no time will any other service be provided through this platform.

Stretching

Here we promote practitioner assistant stretching. Stretching helps aid in improving your degree of flexibility and range of motion. While stretching, it is always important to breathe through your stretches. In your relaxed state, your stretchologist will be able to push your stretch further during your exhale. Never should you try to further your stretch during your inhale phase, this will cause strain to your muscles which could potentially tear. Your stretchologist will be able to effectively move your joints through their full range of motion and increase that motion over time. Stretching can help reduce soreness after exercising, improve performance in athletes, build stamina in everyday activities, protect you from developing future injuries, reduce mental and physical tension, create blood circulation, increase muscle efficiency, improve muscle spasms, sciatica, fatigue, lower back pain, arthritis, hip imbalance, insomnia and so much more.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a healing practice that disrupts the stagnation of blood flow and helps to enrich the body with proper nutrients while compelling free radicals through the appropriate organs. The reason reflexology is so important is because it generates myofascial release which is very safe and necessary to alleviate pain and stiffness in the body. This technique is done by applying sustained pressure on areas of the body which some would classify as “knots”. By breaking up these knots, a release in blood flow is created.
